The Northwoods Art Gallery is one of the oldest businesses in the Lake Almanor basin and Plumas County. FOunded in 1992, the Northwoods Art Gallery has a long and proud history of providing our customers with the highest quality Fine Art and Custom framing and supporting the local Artists, Art Associations and Art Programs in the local elementary, high school and community colleges through charitable donations and volunteer work.

Moving to 168 Main Street in Old Town Chester in May of 2008, has proven to be yet another great innovation and change made to the gallery by the current owner, Heather Morgan-Long. The Northwoods Art Gallery space at 168 Main Street features a large, brightly lit space, with room to "step back" and view the art. The floorspace allows the gallery to display multiple three dimensional vignettes of scuplture, pottery and carvings, allowing customers a 360 degree of the Fine Art. With room to spare, the Northwoods Art Gallery now carries work by Furntiure Artisans, Stone Carvers and Wood Carvers, the finest artisans in their field in Plumas/Lassen County.

"Where the Wild Things Are", our wildlife cutouts on our Building at 168 Main Street, have quickly become a "landmark" for folks giving directions. The Marble tub by Artist Clay Selzer features a frieze of horse profiles and is listed at $9500.00.
