She is a member of the Marin Society of Artists where several of her paintings have been displayed in juried exhibitions. She is also a member of the Marin Arts Council and the Feather River Fine Arts Association here at Lake Almanor. In addition, her works reside in many private collections.
A hiatus from her painting occurred during a distinguished career of public service in the field of environmental conservation for which she has received many honors including induction into the Marin Women's Hall of Fame, the American Association of University Women's "Woman of Achievement Award" and inclusion in the Marquis "Who's Who in America" and "Who's Who in American Women" since the year 2000.
Now retired, Karin has returned to a life long love of painting. She especially enjoys painting scenery in and around the Almanor Basin, an area which she and her family have been enjoying since the mid 1970's.
